Job summary

Thames Valley Police in Marlow is recruiting a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO). This permanent role includes a Level 4 Diploma in Community Policing Practice, with ten weeks classroom training and ten weeks local tutoring, plus a year of learning as you progress.

You will be the visible face in communities, building relationships, supporting vulnerable people, and helping keep neighbourhoods safe while collaborating with officers and partners.

Qualifications

• Be a British, EC/EEA or Commonwealth citizen with settled status or ILR.
• GCSE English at required level, or obtain via college/training provider.
• Commitment to complete Level 4 Diploma in Community Policing Practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible presence in local neighbourhoods.
• Build relationships with residents, businesses and partners.
• Support vulnerable people and respond to concerns.
• Help prevent crime and antisocial behaviour.
• Work with police officers and partner agencies.
• Use communication to defuse situations and reassure the public.
