Job summary

East Lothian Council is looking for a dedicated individual to supervise unpaid work projects for people with convictions. Hourly rate of pay: £18.70 - £20.91

Days and Hours of Work:
Sunday - Thursday, working 08:00-16:15 for 4 days, and 08:00-12:00 on 1 day.

Job Details

To plan, organise and supervise unpaid work projects and other activity opportunities for individuals or groups of people with convictions in accordance with the requirements of the Court and in line with National Outcomes and Standards for Social Work Services in Scotland and Community Payback Order legislation.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Knowledge and ability in working with groups in a work or learning environment and/or a trade qualification and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.

Driving Licence
As the duties of this role require you to effectively travel to successfully undertake the full remit of the role, you must hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle.*

PVG Membership
This post is considered as a Regulated Role with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020.

All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
