Job summary

The Probation Service's Community Payback team is seeking a part-time placement co-ordinator to secure unpaid work placements for individuals serving court-ordered sentences. The role involves building relationships with councils, charities, and other partners, and ensuring placements meet quality standards and policy obligations.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with partner organisations including local authorities, charities and other bodies.
• Secure enough work placements that meet Community Payback quality standards.
• Support the CP Manager to ensure placements meet policy objectives and legislation.
• Explore on-the-job training and education opportunities for people on probation.
• Cover for Community Payback supervisors on weekends.
• Visit project sites to complete risk assessments and meet beneficiaries.
• Provide regular weekend duty cover on a rota basis.
• Provide cover across all Merseyside offices.
