Job summary

Rochford District Council, in partnership with Brentwood Borough Council, seeks a Community Partnerships and Development Officer to help build stronger, healthier and more resilient communities across the Rochford district.

The role focuses on Asset Based Community Development, engaging residents and partners, delivering community projects, securing external funding and ensuring local voices influence council priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in community development, engagement and partnership working.
• Strong understanding of Asset Based Community Development and how communities influence health, wellbeing and service design.
• Proven track record of turning ideas into action through collaboration with residents and partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement activities across the Rochford district.
• Deliver community projects and develop partnerships with voluntary, community, health and public sector partners.
• Secure external funding and support initiatives that reduce inequalities and improve outcomes for residents.
