Job summary

ProfDoc is seeking an experienced Community Paediatrician to deliver ADHD assessments in a community setting near Hereford. This flexible, sessional role offers 3-5 days per week with an October/November start and a competitive day rate of £1,500 per day.

The role includes evaluating ADHD in children and young people, coordinating with families and schools, and ensuring timely, quality reports within local pathways. UK right-to-work and DBS clearance are required.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered Consultant or Specialty Doctor in Community Paediatrics with recent ADHD assessment experience.
• Confident applying NICE NG87 and local ADHD diagnostic/management pathways.
• Excellent communication skills with children, families and multi-agency partners.
• UK right to work, up-to-date DBS (or willing to undergo), and occupational health clearance.

Responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive ADHD assessments for children and young people in line with NICE NG87 and local pathways.
• Conduct diagnostic interviews, gather collateral information (school/home), and produce clear, actionable assessment reports.
• Liaise with families, schools, CAMHS and education partners to support care planning and onward referrals where needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and meet service KPIs for timeliness and quality.
