Community Paediatric Care Assistant – Eastbourne

Pay: £13.97 to £19.99 per hour
Shifts: part-time and full-time hours available, 7 days a week

We are looking for an exceptional Community Care Assistant to join the Newcross team and be part of a supportive and rewarding environment where your contributions truly matter.

Your Role: Supporting Independence, Enriching Lives

As a Community Paediatric Care Assistant, you will provide life-enhancing, person-centred care to people in Eastbourne. Your compassion and dedication will help people live safely, with dignity and independence in their own homes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Personal care and support: Assisting with daily routines to promote comfort and wellbeing
Companionship: Offering warmth, kindness and a friendly face
Promoting independence: Encouraging clients to live fulfilled lives with autonomy
Medication support: Safe, timely administration of medication
Specialist clinical care: Supporting clients with complex needs confidently and competently
Palliative and end-of-life care: Providing compassionate care during life’s most sensitive moments

What we’re looking for:

• At least 6 months of paid professional care experience (or personal care experience in the UK)
• Confidence supporting individuals with limited mobility
• Previous experience working within learning disabilities, autism and paediatric care
• A valid driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle
• The right to work in the UK
• Experience with complex care (preferred but not essential, full training provided)
• Ability to understand both verbal and written English to follow care plans and communicate effectively
• Qualities: Empathy, Integrity, Respect, Teamwork and the ability to deliver exceptional care

• Registration: Applicants in Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland will require the relevant registration (e.g., SSSC, SCW, NISSC). Not applicable in England.
