Main duties of the job

We are currently seeking an experienced Paediatric Audiologist to support our community service in Stockport. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a highly regarded independent healthcare provider delivering specialist paediatric audiology clinics in partnership with NHS trusts.

Job responsibilities
  • Conducting paediatric audiological assessments in line with national guidelines.
  • Supporting the diagnosis and early intervention of hearing impairments in children.
  • Providing family-centred care and contributing to multi-disciplinary pathways.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely clinical documentation using EMIS and/or NHS systems.
Person Specification
Qualifications
  • HCPC Registration
  • AHCS (Academy for Healthcare Science) registration
Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate, child-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently within a community-based service.
Experience
  • Previous experience in a paediatric audiology setting
  • Experience working in an IQIPS-accredited department
  • NHS Band 6 level or above, or equivalent experience in an independent setting
