Are you someone who loves building genuine relationships, connecting people, and exploring ways to work together for a greater good? Do you care deeply about ensuring others feel supported during life's most difficult moments? If so, this might be the perfect opportunity for you.

AtPrincess Alice Hospice, we believe everyone deserves compassionate, respectful care — and that includes the families and communities who support them. As our newCommunity Outreach Coordinator, you’ll be a key link between the hospice and the wider community. You'll help build meaningful connections with local groups, community leaders, healthcare professionals, and individuals, ensuring people can access support that helps them live well, die well, and grieve well.

This is a brand-new role, and you’ll be part of a warm, collaborative team where your ideas and input will genuinely help shape our future work.

About You:

You’ll play a hands-on role in:

  • Growing partnerships with community organisations across Kingston and Richmond (local knowledge is a plus, but not essential)
  • Promoting understanding of end-of-life care and how to access it
  • Encouraging open conversations around death, dying, and grief
  • Recruiting, training, and supporting a team of passionate volunteers
  • Helping shape a new approach to community involvement at our hospice

To help you to achieve that, you’ll have excellent communication skills, be IT competent as well as flexible and adaptable, and comfortable liaising with a variety of people in a compassionate and considered manner.

Our benefits

As well as our competitive salary package and the opportunity of joining an organisation where you will be able to make a difference to our community, we offer a range of great benefits, which include:

  • 27 days’ annual leave, plus recognised public holidays - rising to 29 days after 5 years’ service and 33 days after 10 years’ service (pro rata for part time)
  • educational and professional development opportunities
  • monthly group reflections via Schwartz Rounds sessions
  • free on-site parking
  • tranquil Hospice grounds
  • subsidised meals at our on-site restaurant
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • access to Blue Light Card discount card
  • access to our Group Pension Scheme
  • Excellent changing facilities (with showers, fresh towels, and hairdryers)
  • wellbeing - we provide a programme of activities, opportunities, and guidance to inspire and support our employees to live a healthy life, at home and at work.

We are committed to building a diverse, inclusive team. We especially welcome applications from people who are disabled, from the + community, and from Black, brown, and other underrepresented communities in hospice care. If you share our values and want to make a meaningful difference, we’d love to hear from you — even if you’re not sure you meet every requirement.
