Job summary

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking a Band 4 Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join Adult Community Mental Health Services. The post involves travel across the locality to community venues and patients homes, supporting recovery-focused interventions in diverse settings.

You will work with Occupational Therapists and multidisciplinary colleagues, gaining access to supervision and development opportunities, including Agored Level 3 Diploma support if needed.

Qualifications

• Welsh language skills at Level 3 or above are desirable for shortlisting.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience of working within adult mental health settings.
• Experience of working in mental health services in the community.
• Ability to travel within the geographical area.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of occupational therapy within Adult Community Mental Health Services.
• Deliver delegated occupational therapy interventions one-to-one and in groups in clinical settings, peoples homes and community environments.
• Support daily living skills, routines and community engagement.
• Manage a defined caseload, plan and prioritise tasks within agreed boundaries.
• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and multidisciplinary teams, maintain accurate records and participate in supervision.
