Job summary

JustOT is recruiting a Band 6/7 Community Occupational Therapist to join a Scotland-based rehabilitation service. The role focuses on delivering community and stroke rehabilitation in patients' homes and local settings.

Ideal candidates will have HCPC registration, strong community OT experience, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team to support complex needs and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration confirmed.
• Experience in community occupational therapy.
• Experience in rehabilitation and stroke rehabilitation.
• Strong assessment, treatment and discharge planning skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver community rehabilitation to adults 16+.
• Support patients with frailty, orthopaedic injuries and brain injury.
• Work with progressive neurological conditions (e.g., Huntington's, MS, Parkinson's).
• Help stroke survivors achieve rehabilitation goals and independence.
• Contribute to Early Supported Discharge to help transitions home.
• Collaborate with the MDT to provide person-centred care.

Locum Band 6/7 Community Occupational Therapist – Rehabilitation & Stroke Rehabilitation - Scotland

JustOT is recruiting for an experienced Band 6/7 Community Occupational Therapist to join a community rehabilitation and stroke rehabilitation service in Scotland.

This is an excellent opportunity for an OT with strong community experience who is confident supporting adults with a wide range of complex needs and delivering person-centred rehabilitation in patients’ own homes and local communities.

The Role

• Deliver community rehabilitation to adults aged 16 and over with a range of clinical conditions.
• Support patients with frailty, orthopaedic injuries, acquired brain injury and functional neurological disorders.
• Work with individuals living with progressive neurological conditions, including Huntington’s disease, MS and Parkinson’s disease.
• Support stroke survivors to achieve their rehabilitation goals and maximise independence.
• Contribute to the Early Supported Discharge service, helping patients transition safely from hospital to home.
• Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

Requirements

• HCPC registration.
• Previous community Occupational Therapy experience.
• Experience in rehabilitation and stroke rehabilitation.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Access to own transport is essential.
