We have an excellent opportunity for a Community Operations Coordinator within a charity that provides business support to young people in London by providing dedicated business coaches, workshops, one-to-one sessions, tailored business programmes, spaces to test trade from, and business mentoring. Our client transforms young lives through enterprise by offering holistic and personalised business guidance and support to in-need marginalized young entrepreneurs across London, aged 16 to 30, through workshops, programmes, and 1:1 business coaching. They work in collaboration with young people to enable them to start their own business or move into employment or education and training. They aim to develop approaches that empower, support, and encourage young people to build confidence, follow their aspirations, and fulfil their potential.

About the role

As Community Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Building relationships with existing tenants and stakeholders and engaging with new potential tenants and stakeholders to access the services.
  • Supporting the Operations Manager with the day-to-day running of the business centre and fostering opportunities to consult with and build relationships with the wider local community in Tooting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Being the first point of contact for clients and visitors, providing excellent customer service and responding to enquiries.
  • Building relationships with customers, the wider community, clients, and industry professionals.
  • Engaging and consulting with local residents, businesses, and community groups to align services with community needs.
  • Identifying and engaging tenants who can become tenant reps or contribute resources.
  • Conducting viewings with prospective clients, assessing their requirements, and preparing proposals.
  • Managing the onboarding process for new co-workers, including viewings, licensing, space setup, and CRM input.
  • Maintaining customer retention and meeting KPIs.
  • Collaborating with the Maintenance Team to ensure spaces are safe and compliant with Health and Safety standards.
  • Resolving issues promptly, empathetically, and professionally, escalating when necessary.
  • Handling post and deliveries for tenants and the organisation.
  • Supporting tenant move-in and move-out processes, including key and access management.
  • Managing parking permits and offence procedures.
  • Purchasing supplies and refreshments for meetings.
  • Dealing with suppliers and contractors requiring access.
  • Keeping the reception area tidy and welcoming.

About you

The ideal candidate is a people-oriented individual passionate about creating meaningful communities, with experience in community work, PR, and promotional events. You should:

  • Be confident, proactive, and skilled at building relationships.
  • Represent the brand positively and manage community communications.
  • Have a proven track record as a community ambassador.
  • Thrive in fast-paced, service-oriented environments.
  • Be detail-oriented and collaborative.
  • Have at least 1 year of relevant operational experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).

This role is ideal for someone with coworking and startup experience eager to deliver value to members and the Tooting community.
