Job summary

NHS Highland seeks a Band 5 Occupational Therapist for a permanent post, 24.12 hours per week, based between Broadford and Portree Hospitals. Work within a community integrated team to assess and intervene to maximise function and independence, with early discharge focus, across multiple sites.

You will work in multidisciplinary teams, supervise support staff, and access regular supervision and professional development opportunities. A driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required.
• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Full current driving license is essential for travel between locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy assessment and interventions to maximise client function and independence.
• Discharge planning and onward referrals within a complex patient caseload.
• Supervise OT Assistant Practitioners and OT students; participate in MDTs.
