Job description

JustOT are looking to recruit a band 6 Community Occupational Therapist for a locum position with our client in Somerset.

The pay for this position is £20-£23 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.

Job Description:
Band 6 Occupational Therapist - To work as part of the Somerset Community Therapy Team providing in reach therapy to patients in Pathway 2 and Pathway 3. These patients are temporarily placed in care homes across the county for the duration of their rehab / assessment. The team work close with all partners, including the care home team, social care, primary care, mental health and CHC, to provide rehabilitation to Pathway 2 patients and support assessment for pathway 3 patients to facilitate discharge to the patient's original place of residence following a Home First ethos. Where this is not possible a holistic assessment will take place to ensure the appropriate onward placement is agreed with the patient and their family.

Job Requirements:
* BSC or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
* HCPC registration
* Effective communication skills
* Effective time management & caseload management skills
* Working knowledge of clinical outcomes measures & clinical audit
* Experience of working in a rehabilitation setting
* Full driving license & access to car in work time (with business use car insurance)

Successful candidates must hold a degree in occupational therapy and be HCPC registered.
