Selection Day Invitation

Successful applicants will be invited to attend Selection Day at Carew House, Bodmin on 23rd May 2025. The session will be scheduled for either the morning or afternoon, with the specific time to be confirmed.

Position Overview

We are seeking a caring, motivated, and dynamic community nurse to join our friendly, professional team. You will be part of the Toressa Community Nursing Team, based at Penntorr Health Centre and St Barnabas Hospital, covering Torpoint, Saltash, and surrounding areas. Your responsibilities will include collaboration with GPs, health and social care colleagues, therapists, and voluntary organizations. A commitment to team working, innovative care delivery, and ongoing professional development is essential.

Requirements and Responsibilities
  • Understanding of the evolving landscape of community care.
  • Shift patterns: 0800 - 1600 and 1400 - 2200.
  • Ability to manage travel across various locations, including areas not accessible by public transportation.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care independently within their home environment to promote independence and quality of life.
  • Partner with patients and carers to provide support, advice, and promote informed choices.
  • Provide evidence-based, autonomous care in accordance with organizational policies and training records.
  • Support locality teams flexibly, adapting to service needs.
