Felixstowe Community Therapy has an opening for a Registered Nurse for a fixed-term contract ending 27 April 2026. This post is for 30 hours per week.
The Felixstowe Community Nursing service is part of a wider Integrated Neighbourhood Team (INT) comprising district & community nurses, generic workers, community matron, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and Social Care Workers. There is a B7 Registered Clinical Lead Nurse working collaboratively with the Lead Therapist and Lead Social Worker. An INT Manager oversees health and social care provision in Felixstowe.
The team is busy, dynamic, and committed to a holistic care approach. It continues to evolve to support NHS developments, including close collaboration with local statutory, non-statutory, and voluntary services such as GPs, hospitals, GP Federation, Local Authorities, Social Prescribers, Mental Health services, Community Council partners, commissioners, and other community groups.
Our service operates from 8 am to 6 pm, 7 days a week. Staff are required to work approximately 1 in 10 weekends, with flexible working options available within the service hours.

You will primarily work with housebound individuals in their homes, providing holistic nursing care such as diabetic management, palliative and end-of-life care, venipuncture, wound care, and catheter care, aiming to keep patients safe and functional at home. Many patients have complex physical, mental, and social needs.
You will conduct integrated nursing assessments and interventions for residents aged 18+ registered with a Felixstowe GP, supporting healthy aging.
The successful candidate will receive regular supervision, annual appraisals, and access to relevant skills development training. You are expected to work autonomously, representing the interests of the patients served in the area. Applicants must have access to a car and hold a valid driving license.
