An exciting opportunity with the North Cumbria Crisis Team for a Band 5 development role that transitions to a Band 6 position. This full-time role involves providing high-quality crisis intervention for individuals at home, working as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team in a rewarding environment.
This is a Band 5 development post within the North Cumbria Crisis Team. The successful candidate will complete a learning and development program over 6-12 months. Upon achieving competencies and demonstrating sustained performance, the position will be promoted to a Band 6 role.
Post-completion of the development program, this is a full-time, clinical-facing position with shift patterns across a 7-day, 365-day service. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and bank holidays is essential.

The North Cumbria Crisis Team is recruiting motivated and committed individuals for full-time and part-time vacancies based at Carlton Clinic in Carlisle and Lillyhall in Workington.
The team provides a dynamic and rewarding work environment, working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care at patients' homes, offering an alternative to hospital admission.
The post involves working under the crisis model and pathway, providing a 24/7 service as an alternative to hospital admission. Candidates should have experience working with individuals with various mental health needs and a track record of clinical experience in managing risk and complexity.
Support will be provided to develop skills in triage, assessment, risk management, and therapeutic interventions.
Candidates are expected to develop comprehensive crisis work skills, aiming to work independently within a year. This includes triaging referrals, conducting holistic assessments, and treating patients in mental health crisis at home.
The role also involves supporting shift coordination and managing service demands.
