Job Title: Community Nurse – Band 5 (Isle of Wight)
Location: Isle of Wight, PO30
Department: Community Nursing
Role: Community Nurse – Band 5
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3 months – TBC
Hours: Full-time
Shifts: 8 AM – 8 PM (varied shift patterns)
Travel/Mileage: Paid mileage

Rates:
Day £25.00
Night/Saturday £28.00
Sunday £32.00

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Community Nurse to join the team at St Mary’s Hospital, Isle of Wight. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality nursing care in a community setting, working closely with patients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Administering medications (oral, SC, IM, insulin)
  2. Palliative care management, including syringe drivers & symptom control
  3. Catheter care (male, female, suprapubic)
  4. IV therapy & wound/leg ulcer management
  5. Supporting CHC assessments & Doppler training (desirable but not essential)

What We’re Looking For:
NMC Registered Nurse (Band 5)
Experience in community nursing
Full UK driving license & own vehicle (essential)
A compassionate and proactive approach to patient care

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive community team while enjoying the stunning surroundings of the Isle of Wight.

To be considered for this role you need a minimum of 6 months NHS experience within the last 2 years.

Full NMC registration
Enhanced DBS for Adult and Child
