Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a Band 5 physiotherapist to join Mersey Care's community MSK service, managing a caseload and delivering assessment, treatment and rehabilitation plans in collaboration with GPs and advanced practitioners.

This post suits newly qualified therapists, with support from Band 6/7 clinicians and travel between community sites. HCPC registration or nearing registration is required.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in physiotherapy.
• HCPC registration or nearing registration.
• Experience with MSK functional assessment.
• Liaison with MDT and carers.
• Ability to travel between community sites.
• Evidence of CPD and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive MSK assessments and develop treatment and rehabilitation plans.
• Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions and monitor patient progress.
• Support patients to self-manage and make informed decisions about their care.
• Prioritise referrals and manage a varied caseload safely.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team and communicate with GP/other professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and participate in supervision and CPD.
• Assist in supervising students and staff; contribute to governance and audits.
