Job summary

West Berkshire Council are seeking an enthusiastic Driver with good communication skills, reliable timekeeping and a friendly, positive attitude. The role involves driving a minibus across the local district, connecting residents in rural areas to essential services and transporting vulnerable adults and children within the Transport Services team.

Qualifications

• Full, driving licence including category D1 to drive minibuses and larger vehicles.
• Experience driving a vehicle with 16 passenger seats, or of an equivalent size.
• Ability to use Outlook, and a web browser to access information
• Respect the need for confidentiality
• Awareness of client needs

Responsibilities

• Drive a minibus across the local district to provide links to essential services.
• Transport vulnerable adults and children as part of the Transport Services team.
• Opportunity to work towards obtaining a full bus licence Category D for suitable candidates.
