We are looking to recruit a Band 7 clinically credible midwife with a broad range of midwifery experience. ( Although this job is at 20 hours as a B7 we can also consider other hours alongside this role as a B6) You will utilise your excellent clinical skills to support the community teams to deliver high quality care and be open to embracing positive change and transformation in order to meet the needs of the women in the local population. The post holder will play a key part of the development and transformation of the Maternity Service in line with the recommendations set out in Better Births. You will need to be self -motivated, dynamic, enthusiastic and be an effective communicator. You must possess a distinct passion for the community midwifery service and a drive for ongoing learning and development.
The post holder is responsible for the support and co-ordination of a multi-professional team within the community, providing an interlinked, supportive network across the maternity service and wider Trust.

The post holder will work with the Matron for community together with the established team of Band 7 community team managers and colleagues as part of the leadership team. The post holder will be expected to manage sickness, performance and improvements.You need to be a car user and have a vehicle available for work use.
