Job summary

NHS Scotland is inviting applications for a Band 7 Midwifery Team Leader in the Dingwall area, within the NHS Highland Women and Children service (Community Midwifery Teams). The post involves day-to-day team management and autonomous midwifery caseload responsibilities, with a mix of clinical and supervisory duties.

The role requires strong leadership, time management, and teamwork, plus an on-call commitment for Home Birth/Domino services in the community.

Qualifications

• Experience in leadership and management within community midwifery.
• Strong time management and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work as autonomous practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management of the Community Midwifery Team in Dingwall & Wester Ross.
• Support resource activity and provide autonomous midwifery caseload responsibility.
• Balance 80% clinical work with 20% management responsibilities.
• Provide on-call cover for Home Birth/Domino service.
• Coordinate with other community midwifery teams as needed.
