Community Midwife Band 6
This role is offered on either a full-time or part-time basis. Candidates interested in working either option are encouraged to apply. Salaries will be pro-rata based on hours offered.
It is an exciting yet challenging time for the Maternity Services at GWH, as we embrace a period of improvement and development focusing on Continuity of Care for women/birthing people in line with the Better Births agenda.
We have opportunities for both experienced and newly appointed band 6 midwives to join our community team.
We have a part-time vacancy in our community midwifery team and will consider a mixture of shifts and flexible working patterns.

The post holder will provide holistic midwifery care to women/birthing people and babies during antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods. Care is provided in hospital, birth centre, and community settings, including management of individual caseloads. The post involves deputising for the Band 7 in clinical areas. The role is multidimensional and requires integration of all identified responsibilities.

All posts include shift work (including night duty) and on-call duties. Shorter school days will also be considered. An orientation program and ongoing support will be provided.
