Job summary

Sefton Council is recruiting a Support Worker to join the Adult Community Mental Health Teams. This full-time, 36-hour-per-week fixed-term role provides community-based support to adults with mental health needs, working across bases and in clients' homes.

You will manage a small caseload, deliver short-term, task-centred interventions, and aim to build confidence, independence and wellbeing. Regular supervision will be provided by Social Work Managers and the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in care, support or mental health settings preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential.
• Commitment to safeguarding and equality of opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small caseload with short-term, task-centred interventions.
• Support independence and wellbeing in adults with mental health needs.
• Deliver care within community and home-based settings.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team and receive supervision from managers.
• Engage with partner agencies to support service users.
