Job description

Arundel Community Mental Health Team, based in Baird House, is seeking an enthusiastic Band 6 Registered Nurse (Mental Health) with relevant experience to join a large, friendly, and forward-thinking multidisciplinary team. The team provides assessment, treatment, and support for adults experiencing mental health difficulties, conducting holistic assessments and collaborative care planning.

The role involves working alongside community excellence initiatives and implementing team strategies. The post entails collaboration with clinicians from various professions to support individuals with dementia and mental health conditions, as well as their carers, within the community. Regular supervision and support are provided.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Acting as care coordinator/named professional for a caseload of individuals with mental health issues.
2. Providing assessments and developing treatment plans for service users.
3. Supervising Band 5 staff and support workers.
4. Participating in team, multidisciplinary team (MDT), and training meetings.
5. Offering support and advice to service users and carers.
6. Supporting individuals with complex needs and adapting guidance as needs evolve.
7. Participating in group interventions.
8. Liaising with colleagues to coordinate care.
9. Monitoring service users during medication initiation.
10. Collaborating with MDT members.
11. Attending supervision meetings.
12. Managing complex caseloads, including MOJ-37/41, CTO, and tribunal reporting.
