The shift pattern for this position is Mon-Thurs, 9-5pm Fri, 9am-4.30pm.
Inverclyde Mental Health and Wellbeing Services provide a full range of secondary mental health care and community based mental health services for the population of Inverclyde. Inverclyde Older Persons Mental Health Team (OPMHT) provides outcome-focused interventions to people over 65 with a range of mental health issues and to people of all ages with dementia. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the team as a Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse, based in Crown House, Greenock. The successful applicant will be responsible for management of their own caseload, as well as the management and supervision of trained and untrained staff, within the Nursing Team. The post holder will provide comprehensive, specialist nursing care to clients with often complex health and social needs within a defined geographical area. The post holder will play an active role in team development, including improvement activity and audit.
Professional leadership and operational management is via Band 7 Nurse Team Lead. The Inverclyde OPMHT provides Memory Clinic Assessment, Community Mental Health Nursing, Care Home and Hospital Liaison Nursing. On occasion, the post holder may be requested to participate in all team functions.
