Overview

Are you a trained Mental Health Nurse with an interest in Adult Mental Health and passionate about recovery? Shaftesbury Community Mental Health Team are recruiting a Community Mental Health Nurse. You will work as part of an established integrated multi-disciplinary team, with a Psychiatrist, Nurses, Social Workers, OT, Support Time Recovery Workers, Admin support and a Psychologist.

You will provide specialist advice to others regarding the management and care of patients / service users and plan, implement and review health improvement programmes in a range of settings. You will provide supervision, mentorship, training and clinical support to students and trained practitioners. The Community Mental Health team provides recovery-focused treatment plans for people with severe mental illness. Experience of working in a community mental health environment is beneficial but not essential. You will apply philosophies of engagement and recovery in your work with service users.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of patients and provide a comprehensive, accessible and responsive mental health service to patients and their families.
  • Provide specialist advice to colleagues regarding care and management of patients/service users.
  • Plan, implement and review health improvement programmes in a range of settings.
  • Provide supervision, mentorship, training and clinical support to students and trained practitioners.
  • Be reliable, committed, dynamic, and a motivated professional with excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise work.
Qualifications and Requirements

Service Details

This is a full-time and part-time post of 30 hours, based in Shaftesbury and covering surrounding areas.
