An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse who has the relevant qualifications and experience in Acute Mental health. The team is based in Aberystwyth, Mid Wales.
The Crisis resolution and home treatment service provides intensive support and treatment for people experiencing mental health related crisis and offers alternatives to in-patient care. The CRHT works collaboratively with other mental health service providers and is committed to providing care for service users and their families / carers within the least restrictive environment.
Interested individuals will be expected to be enthusiastic, flexible to service needs and committed to the working ethos of the CRHT model. The post holder will assess and home treat people who attend the general hospital and inpatients in the hospital setting . The Team operates a shift system covering 24 hours, 7 days per week.
The ability to travel between sites in a timely manner is essential.
Applicants will have significant experience working in an acute adult mental health setting and will require a sound knowledge of current issues pertaining to mental health, crisis intervention and home treatment. Comprehensive Assessment, Risk Assessment and Management skills within the context of CTP are essential, as are excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to manage time and prioritise workload is fundamental to effective service delivery.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
