Job summary

Hedyn is seeking a qualified Electrician to join our Maintenance Team in the UK. The role covers electrical maintenance, installations, and compliance works across residents' homes and community assets, with emphasis on safety, quality, and customer service.

You will work from drawings, carry out testing and certification, and participate in an out-of-hours callout rota. A full UK driving licence is essential, and you will mentor apprentices while supporting a multi-trade team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with strong electrical testing, fault-finding and installation experience.
• Driving licence (full UK) is essential.
• Ability to work from drawings and requisitions and complete installations efficiently.
• Experience with compliance to current regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and construct electrical installations, including full and part rewires in various containment systems.
• Maintain and certify electrical work across commercial and domestic properties.
• Perform electrical testing and certification, including EICR where applicable.
• Install, maintain and repair heating systems, door entry systems, emergency lighting and fire alarm components.
• Mentor apprentices and develop other staff; ensure work is completed to required standards.
• Drive allocated vehicle, pre-inspect resources and record time and materials used.
• Ensure safe use and storage of plant; conduct daily vehicle safety checks.
