A leading health institution in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a Community Lead Midwife to oversee maternity services, ensuring high standards of care for mothers and neonates. Applicants must be registered midwives with post-registration experience at a senior managerial level and a Master's degree. The role offers the opportunity to shape midwifery practices in a supportive environment. Salary is £47,810 per annum.

Have overall (24 hour rotational) continuing clinical responsibility for the Maternity service, demonstrating excellent clinical, leadership and professional skills. The ability to develop effective programmes for antenatal, intrapartum and postpartum care, and provide highly specialised advice to the multidisciplinary team. The post-holder will provide strong leadership support to the Maternity Matron / Head of Midwifery, and will demonstrate expert clinical skills, providing advice to staff and colleagues.
You will be working in collaboration with other multidisciplinary professionals, enhancing and promoting the health and wellbeing of mothers and neonates in line with local and national standards relating to maternity care and referrals as appropriate.
