Job summary

Inizio Engage seeks a Registered Nurse to support patients from therapy initiation through long-term management of TPN in the community. You will provide hands-on care, education, and follow-up, coordinating with dietitians, pharmacists, and nutrition teams.

You will manage your own caseload and contribute to service quality through audits. The role requires 1 year post-registration experience, a full UK driving licence, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC/NMBI registration.
• Minimum 1 year post-registration experience.
• Full UK or Irish driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care in line with Service Operating Procedures.
• Educate patients, families and carers on therapy and disease management.
• Conduct home and community visits for initiation and follow‑up.
• Promote patient independence and therapy adherence.
• Maintain accurate documentation and equipment.
• Collaborate with MDT colleagues to ensure safe care.
• Identify adverse events and escalate appropriately.
• Maintain safeguarding, governance and regulatory compliance.

Job description

The Role

You will support patients from therapy initiation through to long-term management of TPN, providing hands-on care, structured education, and follow-up. Working closely with dietitians, pharmacists, nutrition teams and other healthcare professionals, you will ensure safe, effective, patient-centred care.

You will manage your own caseload and contribute to service quality through audit and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver care in line with Service Operating Procedures
• Provide education and ongoing support to patients, families, and carers
• Conduct home and community visits for initiation and follow-up
• Promote patient independence and adherence to therapy
• Maintain clinical equipment and accurate documentation
• Work collaboratively with MDT colleagues
• Identify and elevate adverse events appropriately
• Adhere to safeguarding, governance, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain professional registration and CPD

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Registered Nurse (NMC or NMBI)
• Minimum 1 year post-registration experience
• Full UK or Irish driving licence
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload
• Confident using digital systems
• Enhanced DBS (or equivalent) and medical clearance

Desirable:

• Experience in nutrition support, gastroenterology, oncology, intestinal failure, or IV therapies
• Exposure to TPN or complex homecare therapies
• Relevant degree or post-registration qualification
