The Role

This role is central to our Localities, focusing on delivering Community Investment and partnerships through commissioning and supporting activities that generate social impact.

Reporting to the Community Investment and Partnership Manager, you'll lead the development and delivery of a Locality-based Community Investment strategy aligned with our Thriving Communities, Customer Impact, and Corporate Plan. Key responsibilities include:

• Creating and managing a comprehensive programme of interventions in localities
• Managing contracts and projects effectively, including performance management to demonstrate social impact
• Overseeing financial management of projects via contracts and grants, ensuring compliance with procurement and financial regulations
• Collaborating with the Partnerships and Funding team to write bids for external funding to support social impact initiatives
• Working with Community Investment colleagues to realize the Thriving Communities vision locally
• Supporting the Grants Officer with grant programmes and liaising with awardees
• Implementing a framework for social impact and outcomes measurement

What we need from you

Ideally, you will have substantial experience in the Community Investment sector, gained from similar roles.

You should possess excellent partnership skills, a focus on social impact, fundraising and programme development abilities, and a commitment to customer service. You will need:

• A proven track record in stakeholder engagement and relationship management
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Strong organisational and project management skills
• Experience in quality assurance, monitoring, and evaluation systems
• Financial management experience, including budgeting
• IT literacy and proficiency with technology for project delivery
