Job summary

NHS Fife’s Community Immunisation Service is recruiting a permanent Registered Nurse to administer all immunisations across Fife, including pre-school children, school pupils and adults. You will work across community environments as an autonomous practitioner within a skill mix team.

Experience in community settings helps, but full training is provided. PVG membership is required prior to appointment, with induction and education to meet all job competencies.

Qualifications

• First level Registered Nurse; experience within the community setting would be beneficial though not essential as full training will be given.
• Autonomous practitioner able to integrate and work competently within a skill mix team.
• Commitment to professional development and willingness to undertake training pertinent to this role.
• PVG Scheme membership is a requirement prior to appointment.

Responsibilities

• Administer all immunisations to the population of Fife.
• Work across Fife in a variety of community environments.
• Be supported through induction and education programmes to meet all competencies.
