Job summary

Vaccination UK Ltd is seeking a qualified immunisation nurse to deliver on-site immunisations for school-aged children and in community clinics across Southend-on-Sea. You will work with a supportive team, ensuring accurate record-keeping and adherence to clinical governance.

The role requires active participation in supervision, audits, and service improvement, with duties including consent, patient care, and site visits across multiple locations. 5 days per week availability is essential.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse responsible for immunisation delivery and clinical duties.
• Must have immunisation competency training and be able to obtain verbal consent.
• Experience in school-aged immunisation programs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Vaccinate 20 to 25 school children per hour during flu season.
• Deliver on-site immunisations in schools and community clinics across Southend-on-Sea.
• Work with the team to ensure smooth service delivery and continuity.
• Maintain accurate records in line with policies and guidelines.
• Participate in clinical supervision and staff development.
• Report incidents, near misses and complaints per procedures.
• Attend sites across different locations as directed by line manager.
• Contribute to audits and share findings for learning.
• Undertake Gillick Competency Assessments and obtain parental verbal consent.
