The Hub at Mulberry Park in Bath, operated by Curo, is hiring for a part-time 20-hour-per-week role including evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will work front-of-house in a busy hospitality setting, train as a barista, and support events and meetings while delivering excellent customer service.

Salary is pro rata to £13,988 per annum with benefits; full training will be provided, and the rota is issued two weeks in advance, with the opportunity to grow within a friendly team.

Qualifications

• Experience of working front of house in a busy hospitality or leisure setting.
• Experience of taking payments using a till or card machine.
• A friendly, confident manner with all kinds of people, face to face, by phone and by email.
• A flexible, hands-on approach and the ability to stay calm and organised under pressure.
• A positive, team-focused approach. You pull your weight and help make The Hub a good place to work.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends on a rota.
• Comfortable with the active side of the role, including standing for long periods and moving furniture.

Responsabilités

• Welcoming everyone who comes in, whether they're here for the café, a class, a meeting or an office visit
• Rotating between the till, the coffee machine and the floor, serving food and drinks (including alcohol) inside and out
• Training to barista standard, so every coffee does our suppliers justice
• Setting up the café, outdoor seating and meeting rooms, including moving furniture, so the space looks its best
• Supporting meetings and events, from welcoming guests and serving refreshments to helping set up IT
• Handling enquiries in person, by phone, email and social media, and putting things right when feedback comes in
• Ordering stock, keeping the space clean and following food safety and allergen rules, working closely with the kitchen team
