Dorset HealthCare is seeking a Band 3 Community Healthcare Assistant to join the Highcliffe District Nursing Team. This role involves providing clinical care to patients in their homes, including wound care and phlebotomy, with an emphasis on holistic nursing and professional development. Candidates should possess good communication skills and must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Community Healthcare Assistant role within the Highcliffe District Nursing Team.
Under the supervision and support from the team, you will visit patients in their own homes to provide clinical care. The role involves visiting patients in their own homes, providing clinical care such as wound care, phlebotomy, and extended skills once proficient.
You will undertake care following the instructions of the team leader or nominated deputy, according to patient needs as identified on the care plan. The role requires providing evidence-based, high-quality, holistic nursing care for patients in their homes and care facilities.

We seek a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with good communication skills and a passion for caring for patients in their homes. Experience in community clinical work is desirable but training will be provided.
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake our in-house development program for extended skills, including insulin administration, other injectable medications, and catheterisation.
This position requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover. Applicants subscribing to the DBS update service can present a valid certificate instead of a new check.
Access to a car with a valid driving license is essential, as travel using own vehicle on Trust business is required, subject to the provisions of the Equality Act.
