Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking a motivated individual to join our Community Hospital team at Ruthin Community Hospital. The role supports delivering high-quality patient care on Menlli Ward, 27 beds, with a multidisciplinary team.

You will assist nurses and care for patients, ensuring dignity and comfort while following care plans. The post requires Level 2 NVQ/QCF in health and social care or equivalent, and you must be able to work Early, Late and Night shifts.

Qualifications

• Level 2 NVQ/QCF in health and social care or equivalent experience within a health or care environment.
• Experience of working as part of a team.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Ability to demonstrate a caring and compassionate approach.
• Ability to work a range of shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Assist the registered nurse/practitioner to deliver a high standard of holistic patient care, ensuring patients’ dignity and equality.
• Ensure the fundamentals of care are incorporated into daily practice to maintain high-quality service.
• Assist patients with hygiene and personal appearance.
• Perform delegated duties within the plan of care.
• Prepare ward/clinical area for receiving patients and maintain cleanliness and tidiness.
