Job Description

A fantastic national disability charity has a vacancy for a Community Fundraising Manager in North England. Harris Hill is seeking a dynamic and charismatic candidate to join their expanding team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and building long-term relationships with key regional contacts, local businesses, organizations, and individuals to encourage financial and long-term support for the charity within the region.
  • Leading the implementation and delivery of the community fundraising strategy to generate net income and attract more supporters.
  • Working with the Senior Community Fundraising Manager to develop the strategy, implement core activities, and identify regional opportunities.

There is also an exciting opportunity to collaborate with the Northern Ireland Operational Team, delivering community projects and building relationships with local businesses for a new Hub in Belfast.

Ideal candidate requirements:

  • Extensive experience in recruiting, supporting, and stewarding fundraisers or volunteers.
  • Proven ability to build successful internal and external relationships.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities while providing excellent supporter care.
  • Financial budgeting and reporting experience.
  • Experience with fundraising databases, preferably Raiser’s Edge.
  • A commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Self-motivated and supportive of team members.
  • Highly organized, able to work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Own vehicle for travel (mileage reimbursed).

Additional details:

  • Contract: Full-time, permanent, 37.5 hours/week, with some out-of-hours/weekend work.
  • Location: Home-based with frequent regional travel; occasional in-person meetings in London and Birmingham.
