Job description

Eden Brown Charities is delighted to be working in partnership exclusively with the wonderful Dementia UK to find them a Community Fundraising Manager on a 6 Month contract to start asap.

Every three minutes, someone in the UK develops dementia - it's one of the biggest health challenges of our time. Families affected are often left feeling exhausted and overwhelmed and don't know where to turn. But with the support of an Admiral Nurse and Dementia UK, families facing the fear and confusion of dementia know they're not alone.

About the role

As Community Fundraising Manager, you will manage a team of two fundraisers to grow income across community fundraising at the bronze and silver levels (mass fundraisers), focusing on growing income from 'Do Your Own Thing' supporters, regional corporates, and organizations (e.g., golf clubs, groups). You will also collaborate with the rest of the team to ensure outstanding supporter journeys.

About You

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A proven track record in delivering income across community fundraising streams
  • Experience in drafting, monitoring, and forecasting team budgets
  • Experience in line management, including motivating and developing staff
  • Understanding of effective relationship fundraising techniques
  • Understanding of stewardship techniques used to increase average gifts and long-term support
  • Ability to use insight, data, and market trends to identify opportunities and make recommendations
  • Experience using a relationship database to support, inform, and report on fundraising activity
