Do you want to make a difference and be part of an organization that has been helping save lives for over a century? As a Community Fundraiser, you will play a key role in working with supporters to inspire them through community fundraising initiatives with individuals and groups.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our community fundraising efforts. You will engage, train, and coach supporters, adding value to their relationship with St John Ambulance and motivating them to increase their support. Reporting to the Regional Manager, the role suits someone with excellent communication skills, either with fundraising experience or a sales background, seeking to enter the fundraising field.

About You:

• Fundraising experience is preferred, but strong communicators with sales experience will be trained
• Experience working towards KPIs and targets
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• A team leader and player capable of motivating and managing a geographically dispersed volunteer base
• Ability to build positive relationships with volunteers, donors, and stakeholders, managing expectations

About the Role:

• 12-month fixed-term contract
• Develop and maintain sustainable supporter relationships in local communities
• Implement fundraising plans for supporters and volunteer groups to achieve community fundraising targets
• Manage supporter relationships within budgets, deadlines, and stewardship levels
• Analyze and proactively develop fundraising groups to meet targets
• Recruit, induct, train, coach, retain, and reward volunteers in line with the volunteer strategy
