You'll lead and develop a small community fundraising team, setting clear priorities, supporting professional growth and fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration and excellent supporter care.
You'll drive the delivery of Bluebell Wood's community fundraising programme, identifying opportunities to grow support, engagement and income across schools, community groups, local networks and businesses. What you’ll need:
We're looking for a strategic and relationship-focused fundraiser who can inspire others, think creatively and turn insight into action. You will be motivated by making a difference and confident leading people, managing priorities and identifying opportunities for growth.
You’ll bring significant experience in community fundraising, supporter engagement and partnership development, with a proven track record of delivering income growth, working to budgets and targets, and building successful relationships across a range of community audiences.
You’ll be an effective communicator, comfortable presenting to different audiences, delivering compelling proposals and building support for new ideas. You’ll also have a strong understanding of fundraising regulations, GDPR and sector best practice, alongside experience using Microsoft Office and online collaboration tools.
What else you need to know:
Why join Bluebell Wood?
At Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice, we're committed to ensuring every baby, child and young person with a life-limiting condition can access specialist palliative care whenever and wherever they need it. Supporting families across South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and parts of North Lincolnshire, we provide a wide range of expert services tailored to each family's needs, including respite care, symptom management, counselling, therapies, home visits and end-of-life support. Delivering this vital care costs around £6.7 million each year, yet only around 17% of our income comes from government funding, meaning we rely heavily on fundraising, donations and community support. That's why every role at Bluebell Wood matters.
In this role, you'll help grow community support by building strong local relationships, inspiring people to get involved and creating opportunities that generate lasting income for Bluebell Wood.

Tell us what you'll bring to Bluebell Wood, what matters to you about this opportunity, and how you can help us make our ambitious People Plan a reality.
In return, you'll join a supportive, committed and collaborative team where people look out for one another, share ideas, take responsibility together and stay focused on what matters most: helping Bluebell Wood provide specialist care and support for families when and where they need it most.
