Community Fundraising and Volunteer Manager - Head Office

Based at our Head Office in Leatherhead, Surrey

Status: Permanent

Salary: Band 7, £47,320 - £54,150, per annum, dependent on experience, plus 5% Fringe Allowance

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hoursper week, Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 16:30, hybrid, 2 days in office, 3 days at home.

Combat Stress is the UK’s leading mental health charity for veterans. For over a century we’ve been helping former service personnel deal with issues like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression. Today we provide specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict, focusing on those with complex mental health issues related to their military service. We provide a range of community, outpatient and residential mental health services to veterans with complex mental health problems. We provide servicesin-person, and viaphoneandonline.

About the role:

Join Combat Stress as our new Community Fundraising and Volunteer Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our fundraising and volunteer engagement across the UK.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team. In this newly created role, you will be a key member of the Fundraising team, responsible for developing and delivering a dynamic community fundraising and volunteering strategy.

You'll lead the expansion of our community fundraising activity - growing existing products and launching new initiatives to drive income and engagement. You'll also manage our national volunteer programme, recruiting, training and supporting volunteers to ensure they are empowered, valued and aligned with our mission.

As a manager, you will lead community and volunteer-led campaigns, working closely with supporters to maximise fundraising opportunities and deepen engagement. With a focus on excellent stewardship and supporter experience, you will play a crucial role in increasing participation and retention.

You'll also inspire and manage a small team, providing direction, motivation and support to help them achieve their goals.

This role is subject to a DBS check.
