Job summary

Wmjobs is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our Joint Equipment Stores team, supporting safe, reliable assistive technology for vulnerable adults.

You will service, test and repair community equipment, visit service users’ homes, keep accurate records and ensure Health and Safety compliance.

This full‑time role is 37 hours per week, requires a full driving licence and Enhanced DBS check; you’ll work as part of a dedicated, values‑driven team.

Qualifications

• Experience in repair, servicing, maintenance or installation.
• Literacy Level 2 qualification (or equivalent).
• Full driving licence.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
• Good IT skills and the ability to maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining community equipment in line with manufacturer and regulatory standards.
• Carrying out inspections, testing, fault diagnosis and minor repairs.
• Establishing and maintaining routine maintenance and testing programmes for equipment stock.
• Delivering, installing and testing equipment in users' homes where required.
• Maintaining accurate service records using computerised systems.
• Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety and MHRA requirements.
• Supporting the refurbishment of equipment to maximise value and sustainability.
• Acting as a knowledgeable resource on equipment performance and maintenance requirements.
