Forestry England in the West district is seeking a Volunteering and Community Engagement Officer. You will balance community engagement across forest beats with developing volunteering opportunities to grow participation in our forests and support Growing the Future to 2031.

Based in Coleford, Forest of Dean, or Haldon, Devon, or another local office, you will travel across the district to engage local communities, recruit volunteers, and promote our forests, events and conservation aims.

Aufgaben

• Community engagement across forest beats to welcome and safe for local communities to use and enjoy, reaching out to community groups to facilitate visits and increase understanding and support for our work.
• Volunteer coordination to provide specialist support to volunteering opportunities at forest beats and recreation sites, increasing number and quality of volunteering opportunities in line with Growing the Future to 2031.
