Job summary

Vision Support is seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to strengthen presence across Cheshire West. The role involves building partnerships, organising accessible groups, and representing the charity at events to support people affected by vision impairment.

You will travel across Cheshire West, work in hybrid settings, and help develop opportunities that make a real difference in local communities. Previous sight loss experience is welcome but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of community engagement, outreach, partnership working or a similar public-facing role.
• Experience of organising groups, activities, events or community initiatives.
• Good written, digital and record-keeping skills.
• A genuine commitment to accessibility, inclusion and person-centred support.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with voluntary, statutory, health, social care and community organisations.
• Represent Vision Support at community events, networks and meetings.
• Identify local needs, gaps in support and opportunities for partnership working.
• Develop and coordinate accessible groups, activities and events for people affected by vision impairment.
• Connect people with the right Vision Support service or other local support.
• Promote our services and maintain accurate information about activity, feedback and outcomes.
