Job summary

Birmingham City Council is seeking Public Participation Officers to support work on waste transformation, street cleansing and environmental enforcement. You will engage with residents and stakeholders to gather insight and encourage participation in improving neighbourhood services, shaping future service delivery with citizen feedback.

The role involves travel across Birmingham, with occasional evening and weekend work; access to a car is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in community engagement, consultation or public participation.
• Confident communicators who can build relationships with diverse communities.
• Ability to analyse and present feedback and insight effectively.
• Proactive, organized and passionate about improving local services.
