We’re looking for a Community Engagement Manager to join our team to strengthen Yoto’s communities, shine a light on the best our communities have to offer, and empower our superusers.

Yoto’s Innovation Team

The Innovation Team plays a pivotal role in imagining the future at Yoto and realizing the company mission to be the soundtrack of childhood. We do that by helping to define the shape of the ecosystem of products and experiences that supports the needs of families and grows with kids throughout their childhood.

Our customer communities are at the heart of deeper experiences made possible by Yoto. As Community Engagement Manager, you would have a key role in helping to build thriving communities that help customers get the best out of our ecosystem.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Bringing to life community-powered and user-generated initiatives for Yoto Space, our community platform, through hands-on community engagement.
  • Channelling passion into advocacy by delivering a fantastic programme that supports and empowers our superusers across several segments.
  • Being a public face for Yoto on Yoto Space and other platforms, as needed.
  • Working closely with our Developer Advocate, Customer Happiness, Marketing and other teams to ensure a joined-up approach to engaging with our communities.
  • Listening to our community, understanding their needs, and making sure their voices are heard within Yoto.
  • Identifying process improvements for manual tasks such as user-generated content moderation.

What you’ll bring:

  • Hands-on experience in community management, with a track record of building and nurturing engaged communities.
  • Experience running superuser, advocacy, or ambassador programmes at scale.
  • Great interpersonal skills, as you’ll be working closely with both internal teams and the Yoto community.
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tell a good story in a clear and concise way.
  • Strategic approach but flexible mindset, able to adapt to new priorities and circumstances.
  • Experience using quantitative and qualitative data to track, understand and communicate community performance.

Nice to have:

  • Experience building in Bettermode or equivalent community platform services.
  • Experience moderating customer communities.
  • Experience working in a tech environment.

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 based on experience.

  • Flexibility: Hybrid working with a choice-based approach - we would love you to come into the office as much as possible, with a minimum of once a week. Take advantage of our ‘work from anywhere’ policy to work from a different location for up to 6 weeks every year. Summer Hours policy to use between the months of June and August.
