A community-focused organization in Halifax seeks an Employment Advisor to assist individuals in becoming job-ready. The position involves engaging clients in training, removing barriers to employment, and collaborating with local businesses. We are seeking an Employment Advisor to become a part of Newground Together in Halifax. In this role, you will assist individuals who have been unemployed by identifying and overcoming obstacles that hinder their access to or attainment of paid employment. This may include facilitating training and development or addressing personal challenges related to their current situation.
You will be responsible for implementing specific funded projects aimed at enhancing life skills and employability. Collaborating with community members, you will work to eliminate barriers that prevent them from becoming job-ready and securing employment. Additionally, you will partner with Job Centre Plus, various jobs and skills agencies, and organizations within the voluntary, community, and faith sectors to enhance communication and foster collaborative efforts in addressing these challenges.
