Principal Education is recruiting a Level 3 SEN LSA for a specialist Post 19 provision in Wandsworth. The role supports autistic adults aged 19 to 25, with learners spending time in the community to build communication and work skills. ABA-based teaching is delivered with support from the clinical team.

You will work one-to-one and in small groups, delivering programmes and helping learners gain practical life skills, using signing and visuals to support communication.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
• Experience supporting autistic young people or adults in school, college, care or supported living.

Responsabilités

• Support learners one to one and in small groups, both in the hub and out in the community.
• Deliver individual programmes using ABA strategies with guidance from clinical team.
• Help learners build real life skills: travel, shopping, cooking, money and work experience.
• Support communication through signing, visuals and inclusive communication approaches.
• Stay calm and follow behaviour plans when learners find things difficult.
• Celebrate progress towards independence.
