A Vacancy at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. We have a rare opportunity for an administrator to join the Lancaster District Nursing team. The post is for 22.5 hours per week over 3 days, with a requirement to work alternate Saturdays.
This administrator role is important for the service. You will answer the telephone, complete non-clinical administrative duties, and input data for essential audits and spreadsheets. You will work within a supportive, experienced, friendly professional team with senior nurse support to triage referrals into the service. This is a brilliant opportunity to gain experience working in a team and develop knowledge of NHS computer systems and processes. Training opportunities are available to develop your skills and knowledge.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, positive, and able to work in an adaptable environment. Interested candidates are encouraged to contact the service for informal discussions.
We operate from three main hospitals: Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as several community premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practices, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, Ulverstone Community Health Centre, and other community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
FGH and RLI provide General Hospital services, including Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units, and various Consultant-led services. WGH offers General Hospital services with an Urgent Treatment Centre for non-life-threatening conditions. All three main hospitals provide planned care, outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery, with additional local outreach services and diagnostics from community facilities.
Community services for adults are delivered in homes, community centres, clinics, GP practices, community hospitals, and main hospitals. The aim is to enable people to remain independent and manage their health with high-quality care, advice, and support.
