Overview

We have a rare opportunity for an administrator to join the Lancaster District Nursing team. The post is for 22.5 hours per week over 3 days, with a requirement to work alternate Saturdays.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support for the service, including answering the telephone, notes/files management, preparation, and inputting patient data for audits and spreadsheets.
  • Attend meetings, take minutes, prepare spreadsheets and audit information, archive patient notes, photocopy and scan documents.
  • Order patient equipment via the community equipment store and NHS supplies.
  • Act as the main point of contact for patients, relatives, carers and other health care professionals; take messages and signpost callers for non-clinical advice as appropriate.
  • Adhere to Caldicott guidelines and communicate in a compassionate, empathic but assertive manner as appropriate.
  • Provide information to patients regarding community appointments and direct queries to the correct source.
  • Liaise with team members to ensure an effective use of clinical time.

Requirements/Qualifications
